Ice Breaker: Yes, but… versus Yes, and…
Yes, and… is more than an Ice Breaker exercise. During the debrief we discussed where it would be useful:
- Getting the team ready for a brainstorming.
- Preparing for a negociation (training win-win attitude).
- Accepting diverse opinions in the group.
Games we played
- Skulls & Roses (for strategic thinking & seizing opportunities),
- Robots Ricoche (for quick reaction in front of new situations),
- SET (for pattern matching, observing anti-patterns, system architecture),
- Wooden puzzle (for team building, complicated problem decomposition, self organizing) and
- Baba is You (for training pair programming or mob programming skills).
